Georgetown Hospital System to offer FreshStart Plus Smoking Cessation Program

Georgetown, SC – Georgetown Hospital System’s Community Health Education Department will host a no-cost smoking cessation program for local residents that are interested in improving their health status in the new year.

Beginning in January 2012, FreshStart Plus, a smoking cessation program modeled on the American Cancer Society FreshStart program, will be offered during a three-week period at Wachesaw Conference Center in Murrells Inlet. The series will include 6 hour-long classes that will meet from 6 to 7 p.m. on January 9, 11, 16, 18, 23 and 25.  The program’s methods and activities contain effective elements for success in fighting addiction to nicotine.
