Georgetown Hospital System To Host Summer Safe Sitter Program

Georgetown, SC— Georgetown Hospital System will offer Safe Sitter courses at Georgetown this June and at Murrells Inlet in June and July.
The course is provided for young adolescents ages 11-13 to prepare them for the responsibility of nurturing and protecting children while babysitting.
This two-day course will be offered on June 15 from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and June 16 from 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital Staff Development Education Center in Georgetown. The course will also be offered in Murrells Inlet on June 21 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. and on June 22 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Wachesaw Conference Center on Riverwood Drive, across from Waccamaw Community Hospital. The course will again be offered at the Wachesaw Conference Center on July 25 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and July 26 from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The fee for the course, which includes various materials and Infant/Child emergency care training, is $45. This non-refundable fee is due within two weeks of a scheduled class date to allow adequate mail time for the information packet and to hold a reservation. Class size is limited.
