Dr. Steven Meixel To Present Community Lecture

Georgetown, SC— Dr. Steven A. Meixel, a Family Medicine physician at Waccamaw Community Care, located on Highway 544, in the Socastee/Surfside Beach communities, will host a free community lecture entitled “Hypertension: The Silent Killer” on Wednesday, October 6 at 12 noon.  The event will be held at the Wachesaw Conference Center on Riverwood Drive in Murrells Inlet.

Dr. Meixel has more than 30 years experience providing patient education in an academic medical center setting. Lunch will be provided. In addition to Dr. Meixel’s lecture on high blood pressure, the GHS Community Health Education Department will offer free blood pressure checks for attendees to determine if they are at risk for hypertension.
