Georgetown Hospital System Wins Avatar Awards

Georgetown, SCAvatar International has selected Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital as national Exceeding Patient Expectations Award award winners in 2008. This National Award is awarded to the facilities who are performing at a 3 star level and whose overall score exceeds patient expectations. The hospitals received the awards based on the results of the hospital’s 2008 patient surveys with the highest overall combined score for Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department, and Ambulatory Surgery.
