Georgetown Hospital System To Host Regional Health Screening

Georgetown, SC—Georgetown Hospital System’s Community Health Education Department will host a Regional Health Screening on Friday, September 11 at the Belin Memorial United Methodist Church Family Life Center in Murrells Inlet from 7:30 – 10:30 a.m.
The screenings are designed to provide greater community-wide access to health care resources and information.
Health screenings to be offered include: Chemistry Panel--$20, CBC w/differential--$20, TSH (Thyroid Screen)--$10, Hgb A1C for Diabetics--$10, PSA for Men--$10 and a variety of other health screenings, including free blood pressure and osteoporosis screening. Chemistry Panel tests require a 10-12 hour fast. Universal medication forms, physician referral services and other health information will also be available.
Although not mandatory, advance completion of pre-registration materials is strongly encouraged. Pre-registration packets for the event are available at the information lobby areas of Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital. Persons who plan to participate in the Sept. 11 screenings should obtain one of the packets in advance, complete it and bring it to the event to expedite the process.
