Wednesday, October 21, 2009

Georgetown, SC –The Georgetown Hospital System Foundation recently received a donation from a local retailer to help establish a special education fund for nurses and other clinical staff.

Shoez In Motion, a Pawleys Island shoe store located in Sweetgrass Shopping Center, donated more than $3500 to the GHS Foundation to establish the “Shoez in Motion Nursing and Allied Health Scholarship Fund”.

Shoez in Motion is owned by Chris Brock, a registered nurse, who has a special interest in shoes designed specifically for clinical wear.  Brock has pledged to donate part of the proceeds from the store’s shoe shows to the healthcare education fund.

The Pawleys Island store carries a variety of shoes and accessories for all occasions, in addition to its clinical wear shoe selection.
