Waccamaw Hospital Nursery Achieves Level II Status

Murrells Inlet, SC— Waccamaw Community Hospital’s nursery has received Level II status by the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC).

With the Level II status, the nursery can now provide care for babies born at 32 weeks gestation or greater as well as babies who require additional care after birth. The hospital recently completed nursery renovations which added five beds, two intermediate care basinets, and an isolation room. Waccamaw Community Hospital had 560 deliveries in their nursery in 2007.
