GHS To Host Create Your Weight Program

Georgetown, SC – Georgetown Hospital System will offer “Create Your Weight”, an adult weight management program designed by registered dietitians, beginning May 8 and will take place every Thursday through June 12.

Classes at Georgetown Memorial Hospital begin at 11:30 a.m. in the 2nd Floor Training Room/Classroom while Waccamaw Community Hospital will host classes from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the 2 East Classroom/Conference Room.

The program also features a hands-on grocery store tour on Tuesday, May 13 at the Piggly Wiggly in Litchfield at 6:00 p.m. and a live cooking demonstration at HealthPoint on June 17 at 6:00 p.m.

The cost for the program is $90; however, the general public can take advantage of a “spring special.” Those who register and pay in full on or before May 8 will receive a $20 discount. For more information or to register, call GHS registered dietitians at 652-1233 for Waccamaw Community Hospital classes or 527-7356 for Georgetown Memorial Hospital classes.  GHS Dietitians, Crystal Collins, RD, LD and Joan Franco, RD, LD will host classes.
