Georgetown Memorial Hospital To Host Free Quit Smoking Program

Georgetown, SC— Georgetown Hospital System’s Community Health Education department will offer local residents access to a no-cost smoking cessation program just in time to assist with a popular New Years resolution.
Beginning in January, the American Cancer Society’s “Freshstart” program will be held to encourage local residents to quit smoking.
Four one-hour sessions will be conducted during a two-week period at Georgetown Memorial Hospital’s Staff Development classrooms on January 20, 22, 27, and 29 from 5:00-6:00 p.m. The program’s methods and activities contain the most effective elements for success in fighting addiction to nicotine. No fee is required for this program. The Community Health Department will offer additional classes throughout the new year. For enrollment or more information, please call 520-8447.
