Georgetown Hospital System To Host Summer Safe Sitter Program

Georgetown, SC Georgetown Hospital System will provide Safe Sitter courses this summer at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and the new Wachesaw Conference Center near Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Registration for the Safe Sitter program is now open.  The program is for boys and girls, 11-13 years old. Participants must be at least 11 years old on the first day of the course sessions. Two-day course sessions will be on June 16 and 17, July 14 and 15 and July 28 and 29 from 8:15 a.m.-3:00 p.m. The June 16-17 and July 28-29 sessions will take place at Wachesaw Conference Center while the July 14-15 course will be at Georgetown Memorial Hospital’s Education Center.

The program will teach safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergency situations.  The fee is $45 and pre-registration is required by calling 520-8490.
