Georgetown Hospital System Receives Dove Award

Georgetown, SC – Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital have received the Dove Award from LifePoint, Inc. for their efforts in 2007 to promote organ and tissue donation in South Carolina.

GMH and WCH are two of 11 Palmetto State hospitals recognized for their work during LifePoint’s Organ and Tissue Donation Collaborative.

“These hospitals and their dedicated staffs are committed to learning and implementing nationally-recognized best practices to further donation,” said LifePoint CEO and President Nancy Kay. “We couldn’t do our job of helping to save lives through donation without their ongoing dedication to this important work. “
