Waccamaw Community Hospital Receives National Award for Exemplary Service

Murrells Inlet, SC— Waccamaw Community Hospital has been named a National Award winner in healthcare service quality.

The award for “Exemplary Service Overall Best Performer 2006” is sponsored by Avatar International Inc., a leader in healthcare research and consulting, and is based on results of Waccamaw Community Hospital’s 2006 patient surveys for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory surgery, and emergency care. The award means Waccamaw Community Hospital was recognized as a top performer in Avatar’s national database.

Bruce Bailey, CEO of Georgetown Hospital System, which includes Waccamaw Community Hospital, said service quality is a priority for the organization. “To know that we are meeting and exceeding the service expectations of our patients is very important. “
