Georgetown Hospital System Groups To Host Second Annual “In the Pink” Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

Murrells Inlet, SC - The Second Annual “In the Pink” Breast Cancer Awareness Walk will be held on Saturday, October 6.  Registration for the event, sponsored by the Georgetown Hospital System Foundation Women’s Board, will begin at 9:00 a.m. The two-mile walk will start at 10:30 a.m. at The Imaging Center at Waccamaw Medical Park.  Proceeds from the walk will benefit the Georgetown Hospital System Indigent Breast Cancer Fund and the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Lowcountry Affiliate.  The event also includes a new fundraising effort.  “Duck-a-Palooza” will allow participants to sponsor a rubber duck in a race beginning at Noon at the pier next to SPUDs on the marsh walk in Murrells Inlet.
