Georgetown Hospital System Offers “Drive-Through” Flu Vaccines

Monday, November 26, 2007

Georgetown, SC - Georgetown Hospital System will hold two special drive-through flu vaccine clinics in December, allowing participants to receive a flu shot without leaving their vehicle.

The clinics will be held from 2 to 4 p.m., Thursday, December 13 at Waccamaw Community Hospital and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, December 17 at Georgetown Memorial Hospital.

Participants at the Waccamaw Community Hospital flu clinic should drive under the canopy at the Same Day Surgery entrance, to the left of the hospital’s main entrance.

For the clinic to be held at Georgetown Memorial Hospital, participants should enter on Memorial Lane, drive to the back of the campus, turn right and take an immediate right into a parking lot area to the west of the Education Building.

Participants will be registered, pay and receive the vaccine without leaving their vehicle.

Flu Shots are $20.  Medicare is accepted, but cards must be presented prior to receiving the flu shot.  For more information about Georgetown Hospital System’s flu vaccine clinics, call 843-520-8447.
