Georgetown Hospital System Holds Summer Safesitter Program

Georgetown, SC—Registration is underway for a summer program designed to teach youngsters how to handle emergencies when caring for children.

Georgetown Hospital System is now taking registration for the summer Safesitter program. The medically accurate program is for boys and girls, 11-13 years old. This 2-day course sessions will be held June 11 and 12, July 16 and 17 and July 30 and 31 from 8:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. in the Education building on the Georgetown Memorial Hospital campus, 606 Black River Road, Georgetown.

The program will teach safe and nurturing child care techniques, behavior management skills and appropriate responses to medical emergency situations. The fee is $45 and pre-registration is required by calling 527-7105.
