GHS Women's Board & Foundation present Breast Cancer Awareness Walk

Georgetown, SC – Join us in the fight against breast cancer and in celebration of the opening of Georgetown Hospital System’s newest family member - The Imaging Center and The Breast Health Center at Waccamaw Medical Park in Murrells Inlet. The new facility offers a variety of imaging capabilities conveniently available in one outpatient location, on Highway 17 across from Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Starting at 9:00 a.m. at The Imaging Center, Breast Cancer Awareness Walk participants will enjoy a two-mile walk along the back roads and Marsh Walk of Murrells Inlet and then return to The Imaging Center. Registration fee is $15 if registered by August 10 or $20 for late registration. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and parking will be available at Waccamaw Medical Park.

From 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., members of the public are invited to tour The Imaging Center and The Breast Health Center at Waccamaw Medical Park, meet staff members and enjoy refreshments.

Proceeds from the Breast Cancer Awareness Walk, which is sponsored by Georgetown Hospital System’s Women’s Board and Foundation Board, will benefit the Indigent Breast Cancer Fund established by Georgetown Hospital System and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation Lowcountry Affiliate.
