Georgetown Hospital System Recognized at 6th Annual “Family Friendly” Business Initiative Program

Georgetown, SC – The Employee Certified Family Friendly Business Initiative, a program designed to emphasize the need for more balance in work/family issues awarded Georgetown Hospital System the Gold Seal level as a Family Friendly organization during their 6th Annual Certification Luncheon on November 14.

The program recognizes businesses that are “Family Friendly” as it relates to health care, flexible work schedules, financial packages, career advancement, personal time off for family needs and the encouragement of involvement with the education process of children.

“Our motto at Georgetown Hospital System is that we are Family Caring for Family,” said Director of Human Resource Operations Matt Securro, “This award recognizes what we have already established as one of our top priorities.”

Certification is based on a detailed employee survey within each organization. There are special considerations for businesses with less than 50 employees. The Family Coalition of the Carolinas and the Coastal Organization of Human Resources sponsors this initiative. Currently, there are 67 organizations recognized in Horry and Georgetown counties as “Family Friendly Employee Certified.”
