Avatar International honors hospitals with exemplary service awards

Georgetown, SC – Georgetown Hospital System has been honored with national awards from Avatar International for both area hospitals. Waccamaw Community Hospital located in Murrells Inlet received Avatar’s Exemplary Service Overall Best Performer Award for the year 2005. This award is presented to hospitals achieving an Exemplary Service rating for inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory surgery and emergency department surveys. Georgetown Memorial Hospital located in Georgetown received Avatar’s Exemplary Service Most Improved Outpatient Care Award for 2005. This national award is presented to hospitals demonstrating the highest improvement rating for outpatient surveys for the calendar year 2005.
