GHS offers flu vaccines for community

Wednesday, December 14, 2005

Georgetown Hospital System will offer flu vaccines for the community on Wednesday, December 14, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. in the front lobby area of Waccamaw Community Hospital in Murrells Inlet and at the GHS kiosk located near JC Penney inside Inlet Square Mall in Murrells Inlet on Thursday, December 15, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

In general, anyone who wants to reduce his or her chances of getting the flu should get vaccinated. However, certain people should get vaccinated each year. This group includes those who are at high risk of having serious flu complications or people who live with or care for those at high risk for serious complications.

Flu vaccine is $18. Medicare accepted. For more information about the clinic to be held at Waccamaw Community Hospital, call 652-1269 or 652-1670. Call 527-7105 for information about the clinic at Inlet Square Mall.
