Tidelands Health Community Resource Center
The Tidelands Health Community Resource Center is so much more than a building. It's about people. For the first time, uninsured and underinsured residents in our community are able to access health, wellness, medical and social services under one roof.
On the corner of Highmarket and Wood streets in Georgetown, the center is the headquarters for the Tidelands Community Care Network, a public-private partnership of agencies and organizations dedicated to helping area residents access services. The resource center is also home to a second location of Smith Medical Clinic, as well as Tidelands Health’s community health education nurse consultants; the health system’s transitional care team; and the Neighbor-to-Neighbor medical ride-sharing program.
The resource center is a hub where our friends and neighbors can be linked with affordable primary care and behavioral health services and attend classes that promote a healthy lifestyle and chronic disease management.
The Tidelands Health Community Resource Center also serves as a model for community health programs across the state and nation. It is the embodiment of our healing anthem, better health begins here.
