Sports Medicine at Tidelands Health

Sports medicine at Tidelands Health helps young athletes and active adults recover from injuries and return to the activities they enjoy. Our team includes orthopedic specialists, rehabilitation therapists and athletic trainers who evaluate injuries, develop treatment plans and support recovery

We care for athletes of all ages, from students competing in school sports to adults who run, cycle, golf, play tennis or stay active through regular exercise. Patients can access orthopedic care, imaging, rehabilitation services and hospital-based care through one health system

Sports medicine specialists diagnose and treat injuries affecting bones, muscles, joints, ligaments and tendons. Treatment may include physical therapy, medication, injections, bracing or surgery, depending on the injury and the patient's needs.

Rehabilitation services play an important role in recovery. Physical therapists work with patients to improve strength, flexibility, balance and range of motion after an injury or procedure. Therapists also help patients return to sports and physical activity safely.

Tidelands Health athletic trainers support local high school athletic programs by helping prevent injuries, evaluating athletes when injuries occur and coordinating follow-up care when needed.
